- I have the GuruRom. I went to take off the ram from my 4008 board
- but I could not get it to boot. It would run the hard drive like
- it normally did during the Startup but then would lock up before
- the EGS screen.
-
- When I rebooted the Amiga Pass thru screen would say my boot volume
- was not validated. I would let it validate and then press retry. Then
- let it run the ss and again it would hang.
-
- I tried moving jumper j2 from 2-3 to 1-2 and then jumpered j11 but still
- had the same results.
-
- I put back the ram and it worked fine.
-
- I do run EGS and have 32 other megs of memory on my 040 RomTagMem'd to
- configure for a single contiguous block of ram. Does this mean that the
- EGS is using the ram on the board for DMA ram? (RomTagMem is not DMA'd?)
-
- Thanks,
- TIm
